Industrial valves:
technical advice, supply & support
EURAD supplies industrial valves for applications where flow control, certification and operational reliability are essential. From wastewater and power generation to steel manufacturing and petrochemical processing, EURAD advises on the right valve configuration for each duty, process condition and certification regime.
Deep in theory,
broad in practice.
EURAD advises and supplies industrial valves for applications where flow control, certification and operational reliability are essential. Based on process conditions, specifications and applicable standards, we determine the appropriate valve configuration for each application and operating environment.
By representing multiple leading international valve manufacturers, EURAD remains independent in selecting the technically appropriate solution. This allows us to advise beyond a single product portfolio — while taking responsibility for the recommendation and supplied configuration.
EURAD advises and supplies industrial valve solutions for applications including:
Controlling, isolating and regulating flows across varying media, operating pressures and process conditions
Protecting pipeline infrastructure against pressure surges, water hammer and vacuum conditions through dedicated valve configurations
Supporting flow efficiency and operational continuity through low-headloss and autonomous valve solutions
Engineering solutions for cryogenic, high-temperature and aggressive-media applications under severe operating conditions
Common industrial standards and certifications — additional approvals available upon request and application requirements.
Industrial valves
Each valve type is recommended based on your specific application — EURAD selects from leading international manufacturers to guarantee performance.
Check valves prevent backflow and, when the valve design is correctly matched to the application, protect pipeline systems against water hammer. Conversely, a poorly chosen check-valve design can significantly increase the risk of water hammer. See our note on water hammer for more on this. Multiple design types are available from EURAD — selected based on application requirements such as media, closing dynamics and volumetric flow.
EURAD’s standard offering for metal-to-metal sealing is the 5-offset butterfly valve — delivering tight shut-off and long service life under demanding mechanical and thermal load. Suited to high-temperature steam, condensate and process-gas duties — and equally to cryogenic, liquefied-gas service such as LNG, hydrogen and ammonia — where soft-seated isolation is not an option. EURAD holds the Benelux distribution exclusivity for the 5-offset design, the result of decades of manufacturer-side geometric refinement.

EURAD’s Managing Director profiled on the geometric principles behind metal-to-metal leakage under cryogenic conditions, specifically LNG as the medium in the accompanying article. The principle has since been further refined manufacturer-side into the 5-offset geometry.
EURAD’s control valves are quarter-turn butterfly valves — centric designs for pure throttling duties, and the 5-offset where tight shut-off must be combined with flow modulation. Where standard geometries fall short the valve design is modified for the specific application — as with a valve we supplied for an LNG truck-loading installation, where leakrate-A sealing had to coexist with continuous throttling at cryogenic conditions. Available across temperature ranges from −270°C to +1800°C and pressure ranges from vacuum to 100 Barg.
Air-release valves prevent airlocks and system inefficiencies in water and process pipelines. EURAD recommends fulfilling these functions with two separate units — an air-release valve and an adjustable air-admission valve — rather than a single combined valve. The air-release valve’s float-ball mechanism continuously vents trapped air during operation, and it deliberately does not admit air into the line, thanks to a small check valve on the air-release orifice. The adjustable air-admission valve, which opens only at a preset vacuum threshold, lets air in under control during vacuum conditions — protecting the rising main against vacuum damage and preventing siphoning. EURAD advises on and supplies air-release and air-admission valves that function autonomously on what happens in the line, so that even during a regional power outage the rising main and the pumps stay protected.
Pressure relief valves safeguard pipeline systems against overpressure and other risks, enhancing safety and extending system service life. Fast response to pressure changes with proven reliability in the most demanding process conditions.
For applications where standard product ranges fall short — LNG and cryogenic duties, extreme high or low temperatures, tight shut-off classifications where the application demands it, demanding flow regulation and other specialised conditions — EURAD specifies, sources and supplies the valve matched to the system. Recent custom work includes the LNG bypass integration for circular flow during main-line shut-off, and bespoke butterfly designs for chemical-plant duties. The catalogue is a starting point; the right valve is the one that fits.

Where process reliability matters
EURAD supports industrial applications where operational reliability, certification and performance under demanding process conditions are essential. Across water infrastructure, energy, metals, petrochemical processing and other industrial sectors, valves are selected and engineered according to duty conditions, certification requirements and long-term operational performance.
Past and current projects are not shared via EURAD’s website due to confidentiality. Specific references on request.
Wastewater, sewage & potable water
Flow, surge, pressure, vacuum and air control in influent, effluent and potable water systems — for operational reliability and energy-efficient system performance, sustaining required capacities. EURAD supports water authorities and engineering firms with valve selection, sizing and integration engineering — through to pipelines and pumping stations.
Steel & metals
Flow control and regulation of process gases in steel manufacturing and aluminium smelting — valve designs supporting continuous high-temperature operations at leak rates varying from throttle control to tight shut-off. Specialised butterfly valves engineered for sustained service under thermal cycling, where conventional valve designs are not suitable for long-term operation due to seat or shaft-bearing clamping or accelerated wear.
Petrochemical & chemical
Valve solutions for hydrocarbons, LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, process gases and aggressive seawater for cooling in petrochemical and chemical applications — including tailor-engineered valves for LNG loading systems, anti-cavitation valve disc design for large pressure drops, and Inconel O-ring sealing achieving Rate A shut-off performance at cryogenic and high-temperature extremes. ATEX and PED compliant, with heat-transfer engineering input where process conditions require it.
Process industry
Reliable flow control and isolation for continuous process operations — across varied media, certifications and ATEX-zoned environments. EURAD selects valves matched to the duty conditions and certification regime at hand, supporting reliability and traceability where standards apply and where downtime impacts operational continuity.
Government
Industrial valves for government and utility applications: technical systems with specific certification and operational conditions. Applied in existing systems, replacement projects and environments with strict documentation requirements.
Power generation
High-pressure steam, condensate and process-gas systems for power and energy plants. Specific solutions include 5-offset metal-seated butterfly valves for high-temperature isolation under thermal cycling, and anti-slam check valves combined with air release valves — in full duplex or Inconel where corrosion resistance, pressure integrity and shock containment must perform together.
